multi boot xp32 vista64

multi boot with xp32 and vista64?

how to make multiboot system if i have win32 xp installed? i read that if i want correct and working multiboot, i have to install vista in xp not booting from dvd, and trying to boot from dvd, vista setup doesn't see my sata raid drive on epox m/b... can anyone help?
what's the difference between 32 an 64 bit vistas? maybe i can simply install 32 bit and enjoy as i did with xp? anyway 64 bit xp didn't improve anything over 32 bit version.... just PITA due to driver mess...

Yes, thats my configuration right now. To successfully have Vista x86 and x64 setup in such a configuration, they have to be installed on separate logical partitions. For Vista x86, I always launch setup from within XP x86 when the Custom Option is made available, click and select the partition you dedicated to it, it always works this way for me everytime, I notice if you boot from the disk, it usually has a tendency to as for drivers to be loaded for the storage device.
Vista x64 - setup cannot be launched from within XP x86, you have either boot from the DVD disk or launch setup from within XP Professional x64.

what about booting from dvd, what can i do so vista could find my sata disks?

You need to get the appropriate storage drivers and load them when the option is displayed on the Install page. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

From your posts I see, that one can successfully multiboot XP32 and Vista64. But I don’t see the details.
My computer has an AMD Athlon64 X2 dual core processor 4200+ and runs WinXP Pro on hard drive C. When I open WinXP and insert the Windows Vista Beta2 En-64 iso DVD in order to install Vista on a different internal hard drive D, nothing happens. Now this method worked for the installation of Vista32, but obviously does not work for Vista64. What do I do wrong?
Could
you please tell me (in details pease) how you multibooted XP32 and Vista64?
Thanks in advance, Gerhard

Found it myself: For vista64, insure in Bios that CD-ROM is first. Insert vista DVD in CD-ROM and start computer
